Carissa Lovvorn - Author
Carissa Lovvorn is a devoted wife, mother, speaker, and award-winning author from North Alabama. She is actively involved in children’s ministry, serves on her church’s praise team, and participates in numerous community volunteer efforts.

Her literary journey began with Christian children’s picture books and eventually led to The Sharing Sisters series. Through these stories, Carissa shared simple Biblical truths while inspiring young readers to serve others. This passion gave rise to her new ministry called Tutus on a Mission. Through this ministry she organizes service projects for elementary-aged girls.

Carissa is also the author of the inspirational column Carissa’s Corner, which appears monthly in Athens Now newspaper. Her work has been featured in the Coffee with God devotional series by Kerysso Press, Focus on the Family’s Clubhouse magazine, and she has appeared as a guest writer for several women’s ministries. She is a member of the Christian Indie Publishing Association, the Advanced Writers and Speakers Association, and Word Weavers International.

When she is not writing or serving, Carissa enjoys painting, singing, spending quality time with her husband and children, and cherishing life’s simple joys.
Testimonials
"These beautiful sisters might be stuck at home but the book captures their fun loving spirit and sharing it with others with the bounties from their garden. My granddaughters loved this book. I had to buy all three their own!"
My 4yo and 6yo love this book, and I do, too. The story is current, relatable, AND it contains practical ideas for handling adversity as well as for community outreach. Great illustrations, also. I highly recommend this book. It is a new favorite for my family!
A story of hope and love in the middle of a pandemic. If you are looking for an uplifting story in child-friendly language that inspires us to rise above a difficult situation, this is it! Can’t wait to read other books in her collection.
